Andrew was born and raised in Ayr—just a few miles from Burns’ birthplace of Alloway. He is considered one of the world’s foremost performers of Burns’ works when it comes to recitation. He was the Scottish champion for recitation in 1997 and has performed the bard’s works all over the world. For years he was the face of Burns on the Scottish government’s website Scotland.org and for two separate campaigns at Disney’s Epcot center in Florida. He is now a successful marketing executive in the spirits industry, having managed and grown brands such as The Balvenie and Aberlour. Prior to his spirits career, he ran two successful entertainment companies back in Scotland and was a professional actor – notably appearing as Young Hamish in Braveheart in addition to five years in children’s and comedy at the BBC. Andrew served for five years on the U.S. board of the National Theatre of Scotland. He has been named an Icon of Whisky and was awarded the keys to the city of New Orleans in 2011. He was co-creator and Executive Producer of the award-winning online show Raw Craft with Anthony Bourdain.

Burns Distilled is his passion project, many years in the making.

Tracie Franklin is a whisk(e)y educator, public speaker, consultant, and distillery management apprentice who lives in Washington D.C. As a professional stage performer, she traveled the world entertaining audiences but now uses those skills to share her passion and knowledge for whisk(e)y. She appeared as a spirits expert on local and National media including; LIVE on the Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox 32 This Morning, and Forbes magazine. As a whisk(e)y brand ambassador and educator, Tracie represented numerous whiskey brands including; Glenfiddich, Angel’s Envy, Ardbeg, Highland Park, and Glenmorangie. Tracie's work as the Glenfiddich Ambassador earned her an Icons of Whisky award for Best US Scotch Whisky Ambassador in 2020. Throughout her career in spirits, Tracie worked with and learned from legendary whisk(e)y personalities and continues her studies today. She has numerous spirits and whisk(e)y certifications, is an Institute of Brewing and Distilling Diploma Candidate, and studies distillery operations and leadership in the Nearest and Jack Leadership Acceleration program.
